Cybersecurity: Same Ol’ Tail-Chasing Dog

I feel like the majority of cybersecurity professionals are just rinsing and recycling each other’s content. Where are the professionals that are working outsize the group? Who is working on social aengineering, quantum tampering, glass-based storage, photon processing, and all the other goodies that aren’t main stream? What about new ways to use current technology (such as BEP, EEP, SEP, and VEP as described under “technical conceptual documents” on this website) or other creative solutions? Following formal risk management frameworks, best practices, vulnerability management, and threat modeling (to include purple and red ops) and secure processes are essential but they do not advance the industry. If you always do what you have always done you will always get what you have always had.
